Update - First Status Report

Time Since Last Nap: 3 hours
Status: Feeling good
Currently Working On: Thinking of things to do

One thing I've realized is that I'll have a lot of time to myself. A lot. So it might be useful to me if I had some stuff to do. (Yeah yeah, leave it to me to procrastinate. I'd heard people talking about needing things to do, but expected I wouldn't be so bored.)
Anyway. I have plenty to do, now that I think about it. Unlike some people, I'm not that alone. I'd like to have an apartment to myself or just a roomie, but unfortuantely I'm sharing a house with my immediate family and grandparents. So there are plenty of things I COULD do, like clean the room, practice guitar, breakdance, or sing off-key, that I probably shouldn't be doing at all hours of the night. Instead, I came up with this:

-Work out. I'm 6'2" and only 150 pounds, so I could use a little muscle. It's either that, or hang out on the computer blogging until I've got me my own set of man-boobs.
-Sketch. I draw as a hobby, and although I haven't been able to do much, most of it had to do with no time to draw. I've got a DeviantArt account, and so when I start coming out with good stuff, I'll put a link up here.
-Haul wood. Sounds like fun! We heat our home with wood, how quaint. Unfortunately, we heat our house only with wood. So if I just turned on the lights outside, I'd be able to exercise, heat the house, and keep myself awake. Win-win!
-Parkview Underground is a flyer sort of paper I'd like to start producing. It'd be completely anonymous, of course, and would probably piss off most of the administrators at school. Exactly why I'd like to do it. Again, if I do get this idea off the ground, I can use Blogger to host a copy of it for all to enjoy.
-Clean my room. Yeah, you can't see the carpet, which is how a teen's room should be. But if I got it all together, I might be able to find a few things. Like my bed.

I would read, but that makes me drowsy. I would practice guitar, but that's too loud for everyone to sleep. Aldo, I could watch some good ol' TV, but I would fall asleep.

Similarly, my dad just got home from a business trip, and he brought me back a can of Monster, my old drinking buddy. I chose to give up caffeine completely, because people said even small amounts could interfere with sleeping. However, even though I gave it up, I still have a massive tolerance to the stuff. I'm considering maybe having one of those Monsters (3 in the fridge right now) when I start getting really tired. *shrug* It remains to be seen.

One final thing to note: I just napped like 3 hours ago, at exactly lunchtime. But I couldn't really get to sleep, so I tried the good old breathing exercises. I don't doubt that the demographic I'm writing to knows what I'm talking about, so I'll just suffice to say that it was really cool. I've never had the time to do this either, and it was extremely restful. I'd recommend it to anyone, but I strongly suggest getting a clock that ticks. Without any kind of repetitive noise, I had only my heartbeat, which was too inconsistent to use for a counter.

Better, though, is my waking-up habits. Usually I'd get to bed around 12:00 and get up at 6:00, hit my alarm, go to bed again, wait for the snooze to wake me up again. This continues until 6:30 or even later, and it pisses me off greatly. If I could only get up the first time my alarm goes off... Well, this did it. I just have to make sure and throw the blankets off, stretch once or twice, then hit the alarm off and I'm totally awake. No knowing if that will last once I'm totally sleep-deprived and tired as hell, but hopefully it will. I've got my cell phone as three alarms, then two more on my bedside alarm clock. Both are loud as hell, and since I've got Rammstein's "Moskow" for my bedside alarm, I shouldn't be able to ignore it.
